First Public Look at the '81' Prevost

 

Well, there are conversions and there are updates, and there are refurbished coaches.

 

Put an '81 old Prevost seated coach in the hands of a thoughtful and kind diesel mechanic, give him about six years and a kind, understanding wife out in the garage and you just can't imagine what may result.

 

With far more detail than perhaps even the owner can even remember, the now-45 foot stretched coach was re-powered with a Detroit Series 60, complete exterior renovation, add in a 34-foot custom (yep, back at the shop) single slide, plywood-to ceiling interior design and construction from scratch, redone frame (with 2x4 inch steel framing inside the original, (while you are there, what the heck),  let's just call this one a 'complete extreme makeover' of an '81 Prevost coach.

 

Oh, and don't forget the separate bedroom for the teenage daughter.  She was 12 when the project began, and is now 18.

 

Kinda leaves a person without words?

 

This coach was just seen publicly with its modest owner and wife, enjoying the warm Florida sunshine before heading back up north when, "It's green back home."

 

For those of us who thought we had seen the Ultimate Prevost Conversion, this may be the Most Ultimate Prevost Conversion.

 

Of course, he did all the work himself.
