Great Canadian Trailways Counts on Prevost’s Tremendous Customer Appeal
Ontario family business expands fleet with 3 new Prevost H3-45s

Sainte-Claire, Quebec, May 27, 2005—Great Canadian Trailways, one of the first in Ontario to buy a Prevost H-Series coach 15 years ago, took delivery of 3 Prevost H3-45 coaches May 11 and 12, 2005. Based in Kitchener, the company now counts 28 Prevosts in its fleet.

“The ZF transmission was a huge factor for us when we decided to purchase Prevost motorcoaches,” says Larry Hundt, President of Great Canadian Trailways. “The durability and fuel economy were particularly appealing, especially with today’s rising fuel prices.” Prevost H-Series motorcoaches are designed with drivers and passengers in mind, combining a state-of-the-art powertrain with superior riding comfort and lasting performance.

“The huge panoramic windows and European design has attracted a great deal of new business for us over the years,” says Hundt, who adds that the vehicles are also very dependable. In addition, the Prevost service team deserves special recognition, according to Hundt, who says, “They have always been very attentive to our needs—that is one of their greatest strengths.”

Husband and wife team Larry and Lorna Hundt are co-owners of Great Canadian Trailways, which also employs their two daughters. A tour operator first and foremost, the 21 year-old company has built up a loyal following with its many sightseeing, shopping, and other specialty tours. But it has also become a significant coach operator in its market, covering a vast geographic area. Its varied clientele includes everyone from international business people to casino-goers.

Great Canadian Trailways coaches exhibit true Canadian pride. Artists have airbrushed scenes promoting Canada on the exterior of a number of vehicles. The Nation Builders coach, for example, features 80 paintings in tribute to 20 of the major ethnic groups that make Canada the country it is today. Other theme coaches include Great Canadian Music, Great Canadian Moments, Great Canadian Achievements, Great Canadian Sports, and of course Great Canadians, with more in the works.
