CLEARWATER, FL--(August 15, 2007)--Parliament Coach Corporation President Steve
Mitchell today announced that Ken Robertson has joined Parliament Coach as
General Manager.
"We're delighted to have Ken join our team," Mitchell noted, "He brings the
multiple-brand experience in sales, service, production and management which
will keep our organization on the fast track which our family began in 1973."
Robertson, with 30 years in the recreational vehicle industry, was most recently
owner of Ken Robertson RV Center in Lakeland, Florida, which has been sold to
new owners.
He began in the business as a retail salesman and then sales manager at Brian
Bickmore Dodge in Beaverton, OR, in 1976.
Robertson was then recruited by and joined All Seasons RV and Marine in Bend, OR
in 1981 as general manager. In that position, he also served as President,
Central Oregon RV Dealers Association. He began the Central Oregon Boat Show
which has grown into the Central Oregon RV and Boat Show.
In 1987, Robertson joined Beaver Coach as a sales representative and was quickly
promoted to the position of Eastern Regional Manager. Then in 1990, was again
promoted to National Sales Manager of Beaver Coach. At Beaver Coach, he was
responsible for sales and distribution management.
Robertson then accepted the first of several management positions within Buddy
Gregg Motor Homes, opening up new facilities, hiring and training staff. He was
General Manager of the branches at Lewisville, TX, Knoxville, TN and in
Lakeland, FL. He was instrumental in creating a multiple-brand luxury motor
coach network, hiring and training sales representatives and management
personnel in each of the locations.
In 2001, Robertson and his wife Mel, opened the doors of Ken Robertson RV Center
in Lakeland, FL, providing sales and service to a base of over 3500 customers,
offering warranty work for the top manufacturers in the industry as well as
becoming a Prevost Car Authorized Warranty Center.
"Parliament Coach is unique in that we build Parliament coaches based upon the
Prevost Car shell, we are a Foretravel dealer and have a very long history with
Bluebird and Vogue coaches," Mitchell added. "Ken's background in both the depth
and breadth of the industry is a good match for Parliament."
At Parliament, Ken Robertson will be responsible for Sales, Parts and Service
Parliament, the large Clearwater, FL dealership begun by the Mitchell family in
2000.
