Liberty Pre-Owned Coaches; The Smart Choice?

Today's coach buyers seem to have a wide range of choices in acquiring a pre-owned Prevost coach.  Of course, lifestyle, décor, layout, cost and a host of other considerations come into play.

But where to go to get the best combination of all the many factors essential to coach ownership in one location?  That decision may well come down to Liberty Coach in Stuart, Florida.

In an interview with Dave Wall, General Manager of Liberty Coach, we learn that Liberty has a rather unique way of providing quality pre-owned coaches.  Here's his point of view:  "We deliver each and every coach, new or pre-owned at 100% functional level.  Regardless of the original converter, we service and stand behind every single coach which is delivered from our facility."

Wall detailed the Liberty Pre-Delivery Inspection and service plan which the firm employs with pre-owned coaches. 

First, the coach is inspected system by system by experienced technicians, inside and out, underneath and on the top of the coach.  A list is developed of any item requiring attention or requiring service.  Engine, transmission, differential, generators, plumbing, electrical system, heat, air conditioning, refrigeration, galley equipment, batteries, belts, pumps, pressurized systems, exhaust systems, brakes and tires are serviced and brought to 100% working order.   Any tires which exceed 5 years of life are replaced, regardless of mileage or tread depth.

"It's our goal to provide a quality Prevost conversion to our customers which provides owners with a zero-baseline for maintenance into the future.  It's as if the coach had been delivered as a new coach," Wall notes, "Liberty customers leave here with the assurance that their new coach  has been properly prepared for pleasure and enjoyment along the road.  We wouldn't accept anything less as consumers and our customers should expect the same from us."

In today's booming Prevost marketplace, those wishing to purchase a Pre-Owned Prevost are faced with many choices; from individual owners, agencies, dealers and converters.  With the advent of the internet, it may be difficult to determine the condition of a particular coach without more information about the coach being offered, the condition of the coach and the true cost of ownership.  Wall commented on the phenomenon:  "In real life, the price paid for a coach may not be what the customer believes he or she may be getting...you may wind up getting what you paid for.  At Liberty, you know exactly what you are getting.  A quality coach in top condition for a specific price.  No surprises here," he commented.

He pointed out that during the course of the Pre-Delivery Inspection and maintenance, that the engine, transmission, generator and all systems are tested and brought up to Liberty standards.  All lubrication is performed, noted and entered into the Liberty database.  The preparation of the coach is detailed, for example, down to replacement of all  water and air conditioner filters.  Additional or specialized accommodations may be made during the course of the Pre-Delivery Inspection by special agreement with customers.

"I have always wished I could purchase a product from someone and be taken care of as well as we take care of our customers," he noted.

The Stuart Florida sales and service facility is a 28,000 square foot facility, with the capacity of eight coaches inside the 16,000 square foot air conditioned showroom.  The Liberty service facility specializes in Prevost chassis and shells, as well as the wide range of converted Prevost coaches.

"Nearly everyone here at Liberty Coach is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Sales, service, technical assistance is available to our customers around the clock," Wall added.  "That includes access to management and ownership of our company.  Here at Liberty, it is our goal to create customers for life.  What that means is that we want to create a family of owners which make up the larger community of Liberty Coach."

After the complete service operation, Liberty technicians work with customers and provide a thorough training and education on the operation of their new coach, to insure understanding of safe and knowledgeable operation.  Each coach is delivered with a full tank of fuel for the new owner.

Liberty owns and operates a private, full-service and secure, cement-pad campground area In Stuart.  It is available for existing and future Liberty customers.  Liberty coach is easily accessible from the Florida Turnpike and from I-95.  It is also accessible  by both Witham Field, a private airport and from PBI, Palm Beach International Airport.
